The Canary Islands Fantastic Festival Isla Calavera collaborates for the third consecutive year with the Canarian videogame development studio PlayMedusa to create a game that projects cinema for every pixel.
This time the game takes place in Los Angeles, in the 1950s. It's your first day of work as Best Boy or errand boy in the studios of the most important film production company of the moment. The Production Assistant is your boss and she needs your skills so that the studio shootings don't suffer any delay. Fail and you'll be fired. But if you do your job... Who knows, you might even get nominated for an Oscar!
The player will have to drive at full speed through the studio, dodging the staff, delivering actors and caterers wherever they need them, defying the clock to avoid delaying the shootings. You will transport thirteen great movie stars such as Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Swamp Thing, John Wayne or Elizabeth Taylor.
But who are these characters, what films are mentioned, did they really exist? 'Best Boy's Adventure' can be used as an educational tool by encouraging viewings of Hammer film classics and other films of the era and subsequent discussions.
