The third edition of the Festival de Cine Fantástico de Canarias Isla Calavera is already at the starting line. From November 23 to 30, it will host at its official venue (Multicines Tenerife) the presentation of more than 40 productions, including premiere and classic feature films, short films and documentaries. First works, independent auteur films, big productions, Spanish fantasy, animation films, titles for all audiences... coexist in the complete program of screenings that can be enjoyed only this week.
The festival's red carpet will welcome numerous creators, specialized press and stars of fantastic cinema throughout the eight days of programming. The following will be honored at the Festival Isla Calavera 2019: the master of makeup and special effects, winner of 7 Oscars, Rick Baker, the actor David Naughton, the actress Belén Rueda, the director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and the film critic Desirée de Fez.
They will also visit Tenerife and participate in the programmed activities: producer Daniel Noah (SpectreVision), directors Pablo Berger ('Blancanieves'), Lluís Miñarro ('Love me not'), Lucas Figueroa ('Despido procedente') and Óscar Martín ('Amigo'), writers and directors Carlo Padial (documentary 'Vosotros sois mi película') and José Luis Alemán ('La herencia Valdemar'), the producers Elena Muñoz (El Ojo mecánico) and Marisa Domínguez (La Cruzada Entertainment), the actresses Lola Dueñas ('Love me not') and Paola Bontempi ('In the trap'), the actors Carlos Areces ('Balada triste de trompeta'), David Pareja ('Amigo'), David M. Santana ('Fuel'), director Norma Vila ('El fin de todas las cosas'), the director of the Madrid International Fantastic Film Festival Sergio Molina and distributor Víctor Sahun (Reel One Entertainment), among others.
