November 5, 2025.- The Festival de Cine Fantástico de Canarias Ciudad de La Laguna Isla Calavera celebrates this Saturday, November 8, starting at 11:30 am at Multicines Tenerife, a new edition of its Industry Meeting: Filming in the Canary Islands, a professional space that brings together, with the support of the Tenerife Film Commission, prominent national and international names in the audiovisual industry along with representatives and professionals from the Canarian film sector.

This edition will feature the participation of renowned director Randal Kleiser (Grease, Flight of the Navigator), actress, director and producer Sara Sálamo (Everybody Knows), and directors Daniel Monzón (Cell 211) and Rodrigo Cortés (Buried), who will share their experiences and reflections on the audiovisual industry and their needs to move their shoots to the Canary Islands. Tenerife Film Commission will present the benefits of the island for the development of audiovisual productions.

Among the confirmed guests are prominent professionals linked to the Festival, such as Simon Weisse, layout artist and collaborator of Wes Anderson and the Wachowski sisters; Lisa Downs, producer and director of documentaries; Tedy Villalba, producer of Furia, winner of the Isla Calavera Award for the Most Fantastic Series of the year; Alberto Gastesi, director of the feature film in the Singular Official Selection; Ramiro Blas, actor of the film Gatillero, also in competition; Millán Salcedo, popular actor and humorist present at the festival with an exhibition; David Sáinz, Canarian filmmaker and actor starring in Luger, also in competition; Manuel Valencia and Empar Lagunas, from the fanzine 2000 Maníacos, winner of the Isla Calavera Award for the Dissemination of Fantastic Film; Santiago Tabernero, producer, screenwriter and director; Denisse Castro, film director; Chedey Reyes, director of the film La Cosa en la Niebla, in competition at the festival under the "Made in the Canary Islands" label; Sara Draven, content creator; and Alberto Cano and Nuria Pérez, from Lightbox Academy.

In addition, this edition will be attended by numerous professionals from the Canary Islands film industry, consolidating the Isla Calavera Industry Meeting as a key forum for the exchange of knowledge, the presentation of filming opportunities in the Canary Islands and the promotion of the audiovisual sector in the archipelago.
