From November 23 to 30, Tenerife hosts a new edition of the Festival de Cine Fantástico de Canarias Isla Calavera, with a wide program of feature films, short films and documentaries, as well as parallel activities. From the Diario de Avisos Foundation we will know, every day, the agenda of the festival, with Vanesa Bocanegra as presenter.

Great guests will gather on the island to celebrate fantastic cinema. Thus, Rick Baker and David Naughton, the creator of special effects winner of seven Oscars and the star of 'An American Werewolf in London', will meet on Isla Clavera 38 years after the release of the legendary film by John Landis.

On Friday, November 29, a special screening of the genre classic will take place at Multicines Tenerife, the Festival's headquarters, followed by a meeting with the guest artists, who will receive honorary awards this year.

Actress Belén Rueda will also visit Tenerife to collect an Honorary Isla Calavera Award in recognition of her career linked to the fantastic. On Saturday, November 30, Multicines Tenerife will host a special screening of 'The Orphanage', the feature directorial debut of Juan Antonio Bayona. Belén Rueda will participate after the screening in a talk open to the public in which she will recall her work in the film.

Tickets for these special sessions and the rest of the program are already on sale.
