Two months away from the fourth edition of the Canary Islands Fantastic Film Festival, in a year marked by the international health crisis, Isla Calavera is preparing a pre-festival event in tribute to the most celebrated horror film of all time, in which the first confirmed titles and other novelties will be announced.
The Exorcist', directed by William Friedkin from a screenplay by William Peter Blatty based on his own novel, hit theaters in the United States, where the book had been a bestseller, on December 26, 1973, becoming a social phenomenon. In Spain, it was released 45 years ago, in September 1975, already with the label of "the most terrifying film of all time".
On Friday, October 2, at 8:00 p.m., Multicines Tenerife (Alcampo shopping center, La Laguna) will host this pre-festival Isla Calavera event, with the screening of 'The Exorcist' in original version with Spanish subtitles, and a discussion after the screening where facts, myths and anecdotes related to the legendary horror film will be unraveled.
This meeting with lovers of the best horror films, in which the co-directors of the Isla Calavera Festival Ramón González Trujillo and Daniel Fumero will present news about this year's program, will offer live surprises and gifts to its attendees. Tickets for this unique event, which will be available in two theaters, are already on sale at the price of 4.95 euros.
