This Thursday, December 10, the screening program of the fourth edition of the Festival de Cine Fantástico de Canarias Isla Calavera kicks off with a special session, free of charge, dedicated to the 80s classic Thou Shalt Not Kill... the Neighbor (The Burbs).

Invitations for this screening, which will begin at 4:00 p.m., can now be collected at the box office of Multicines Tenerife (Alcampo shopping mall, La Laguna), the Festival's headquarters. Reel One Entertainment is sponsoring this session as a preview of the release of this title on Blu-Ray in the Spanish market.

Directed by Joe Dante in 1989, the funny black comedy Thou Shalt Not Kill... The Neighbor stars Tom Hanks, Bruce Dern and Carrie Fisher.

In the film, new neighbors, the Klopeks, arrive in a quiet residential area in the USA. They move into the house next door to Ray Peterson (Tom Hanks). These new neighbors are really strange. No one has ever seen them before and at night strange and disturbing sounds emerge from their basement. The day an endearing old man disappears from the neighborhood, everyone becomes suspicious of the new neighbors.

The Festival de Cine Fantástico de Canarias Isla Calavera celebrates its fourth edition from December 10 to 13, with the sponsorship of the Government of the Canary Islands, Canarias Cultura en Red, the Department of Culture of the City Council of La Laguna and the Development Society of the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, among other public and private entities.
