October 15, 2025.- The historic center of La Laguna is preparing to host on Friday October 31 a new edition of the Isla Calavera Tenerife Zombie Walk, a fun pre-festival event aimed at audiences of all ages, organized by the Festival de Cine Fantástico de Canarias Ciudad de La Laguna Isla Calavera, with the main sponsorship of the municipal corporation, through the area of Culture of the city council.
The event was presented at a press conference by the Mayor of La Laguna, Mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez; the Councilman of Culture, Adrian del Castillo; the co-director of the Festival, Ramon Gonzalez Trujillo; and the deputy director Vanesa Bocanegra.
During the presentation, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez assured that "it is an honor for La Laguna to host one more year the Festival de Cine Fantástico de Canarias Isla Calavera, an event that has managed to consolidate itself as a reference of the genre at national level and that turns our municipality into the epicenter of fantastic cinema for a few days". He added that the Zombie Walk is already an essential date, a fun and creative way to celebrate cinema in the street and enjoy a unique experience with the family, full of humor, music and talent.

Ramón González Trujillo assured that the Zombie Walk has been consolidated among the population of La Laguna and is an attraction for visitors from other localities in the framework of All Saints' Eve, Halloween.
The popular actor and comedian Aarón Gómez will be the master of ceremonies of this fifth edition of the zombie encounter, in which the Tejina Music Band will also participate, among other groups.
The animation is assured from 17:00 hours in the Plaza del Adelantado de La Laguna, where tents open to the public will be deployed free makeup and a gastronomic space. This will be the starting point of the "Zombie March", which will start at 20:00 hours in the direction of the Plaza de la Concepción through Obispo Rey Redondo street and back to the starting point through Herradores street. Once the parade is over, the most dedicated participants will be recognized on the stage of the Plaza del Adelantado, in three categories: Best Zombie (costume), Best Walker (performance) and Best Group.
The first installments of the Isla Calavera Tenerife Zombie Walk took place in 2018 and 2019, and the event returned in 2022, after the pandemic, with great success. This year it returns for Halloween, within the program of parallel activities of the Festival de Cine Fantástico de Canarias Ciudad de La Laguna Isla Calavera, which will take place from November 7 to 16.
