San Cristóbal de La Laguna, September 25, 2024.- Actress Tami Stronach, who played in 1984 the Childlike Empress in the adaptation of Michael Ende's novel 'The Neverending Story' filmed by Wolfgang Petersen, joins the list of guests of the eighth edition of the Festival de Cine Fantástico de Canarias Ciudad de La Laguna Isla Calavera, which will take place from November 8 to 17 in Tenerife.
Tami Stronach will collect the Legend of the Fantastic Award for her iconic character that has been engraved in the collective memory of several generations and will present her new film 'Man and Witch: The Dance of a Thousand Steps' at Multicines Tenerife. Directed by Michael Hines, it is a touching tribute to the fantasy films of the 80's, with the participation of other key figures of the cinema of that decade, such as Christopher Lloyd ('Back to the Future') or Sean Astin ('The Goonies'). In the film, when a lonely goat herder discovers that he was cursed at birth and can never have a wife, he makes a deal with a lonely witch to reverse the spell, but he will have to complete three impossible tasks to find true love.

In addition, Tami Stronach will participate, along with director Lisa Downs, in the presentation of the documentary 'Life after the Neverending Story', a celebration of Wolfgang Petersen's classic through interviews with members of the cast and crew, such as Noah Hathaway (who brought Atreyu to life), Deep Roy (Teeny Weeny), singer Limahl and special effects and makeup master Colin Arthur.
Tami Stronach and Lisa Downs will also take part in the Industry Meeting: Filming in the Canary Islands of the Isla Calavera Festival, which will bring together prominent producers, directors and creators with representatives of the Canary Islands audiovisual industry in Tenerife on Saturday, November 9.
