The San Sebastian Horror and Fantastic Film Week, Fancine - Malaga Fantastic Film Festival and TerrorMolins - Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival, three national events coinciding in theme and month of celebration, joined forces in 2020, times of pandemic, to spread online the passion for the fantastic. They thus created the Ghost November label, a shared and free diffusion channel to publish pieces of interest to the amateur public, largely exclusive.
This 2021 the channel is reinforced with the incorporation of another November event: the Canary Islands Fantasy Film Festival Isla Calavera, held in Tenerife between November 19 and 17.
In addition, this Saturday, November 30, Isla Calavera participates in the 32nd San Sebastian Horror and Fantasy Film Festival to present the screening of the supernatural thriller 'The Medium', directed by Banjong Pisanthanakun.
The online platform noviembrefantasma.com will publish again from the end of October to the end of November free of charge different pieces of interest for fantasy and horror lovers. Among the new contents of this second season are a Top Anime by the critic Alejandro G. Calvo, a report on Japanese filmmakers by Daniel Aguilar and a talk by the Bloody Girls on "Woman and Demon". Other round tables and literary presentations promoted by the four festivals will feed the menu week by week.
This will be added to the 13 pieces already published last November to great acclaim, such as the podcast Marea Nocturna, interviews with filmmakers like Brian Yuzna or Romain Quirot or a round table on festivals in times of Covid-19.
Ghost November thus serves, beyond its birth in pandemic, to complement with alternative audiovisual material the billboard of the four contests, which maintain their respective editions for this 2021 in person (and in some cases also with online film offerings). The platform also aims to become a meeting forum for an audience from different cities linked to the fantasy genre, as a way to bring their fandom closer to the rest of the events and give them the opportunity to meet them, even virtually.
