Synopsis:
Fred Wilson (Grodin), a top executive of the Petrox Company, leads a boat expedition to Polynesia in order to find oil. On the ship is a stowaway, Jake Prescott (Bridges), an anthropologist who is aware that the expedition may find some prehistoric creature. On the high seas they meet Dwan (Lange), a woman who has survived a shipwreck. Wilson's real idea is to find an off-the-charts island that may contain an important pocket of oil in its bowels. The aborigines of Skull Island worship a monstrous creature to whom they offer female victims to appease their wrath.
