Among them are Gatilleroan Argentine thriller directed by Cristian Tapia Marchiori, inspired by real events and characters. It is an intense story of redemption narrated in real time and shot in a single sequence shot, a proposal that promises to surprise for its bold visual and narrative treatment.
You will also be able to see Disforiastarring Claudia Salas, a psychological horror story directed by Christopher Cartagena and based on the novel by David Jasso; Singular, Alberto Gastesi's second feature film, with Patricia López Arnaiz and Javier Rey, a thriller that reflects on human relationships and artificial intelligence; or Lugerby Bruno Martín, an action crime thriller with buddy movie overtones starring Mario Mayo(Os reviento) and Canarian actor and filmmaker David Sainz, presented at its world premiere in Austin to great acclaim.
Made in the Canary Islands
Also noteworthy is the selection of The Thing in the Mista debut film by Canarian director Chedey Reyes, Jugoplástika's second production. The film will also be presented under the seal Made in the Canary Islandswhich this year includes the Isla Calavera Festival to give greater visibility to the participating feature films and short films that have been developed by Canarian creators and/or produced in the Archipelago. A mixture of comedy and science fiction, this film shot in Gran Canaria pays tribute to B movies and John Carpenter, taking place almost entirely in the cockpit of an airplane built for the occasion and starring Martín Carabal and Elena de Lara.
